Vince Russo: "Impossible that Vince McMahon has retired"

WWE and WCW former writer Vince Russo urged people not to believe Vince McMahon's retirement. Vince said: "Regardless of what they say and do, I will never believe that Vince McMahon has walked away from WWE. The reason I am so adamant with what I say is that I have worked closely with that man.

I know the his way of thinking and his work ethic I know he has nothing else in life besides wrestling. Only those people who do not know him and know nothing about him can believe in his retirement. Those who know him and have worked for him do not believe in it in the slightest.

WWE needs some kind of smokescreen to divert attention from the real problems. For this reason, they made people believe that Vince has retired and that Triple H is the savior of the homeland. The fact that I have brought back so many stars who had been released supports my thesis."

Vince's retirement

The announcement of Vince McMahon’s retirement shocked the wrestling world.

The now former Chairman of the company had been overwhelmed by a series of heavy accusations and many were asking for his head. Vince allegedly paid large sums of money (we are talking about almost 20 million dollars) to 'silence' several women with whom he had had extramarital affairs.

WWE appears to be scrutinizing their budgets as of 2019. Vince's place has been taken by his daughter Stephanie and Nick Khan, while Triple H has been put in charge of the creative team. The 14-time world champion, who retired from wrestling wrestling shortly before WrestleMania 38, transferred several NXT talents to the main roster and favored the return of some superstars who had been released.
