In the latest edition of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, 16-time world champion Ric Flair crowned Michaels as the greatest ever. Ric explained: "I think Shawn Michaels is the greatest performer of all time, especially when it comes to skill in the ring.

Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin are the two greatest entertainers ever. No one has contributed more than the two of them to the growth of this business from an economic point of view." As everyone knows by now, Flair will be back in the ring on July 31 in Nashville.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Gerald Brisco expressed all his concern for Ric's health: "I think it's not a good idea to step into the ring at his age. He said it will be his last match, but I wouldn't be so sure. If he passes this test with flying colors, we all know Ric's disposition.

He wouldn't be limited to a single encounter. Someone else will come to him, offer him a mountain of money and convince him to do it again. He has to keep his damned ego in check."

Showen Michaels the best ever?

Shawn Michaels is unanimously recognized as one of the best performers of all time, even if his attitude has not always received the approval of the public and other wrestlers.

HBK is a four-time world champion, having captured the WWF Championship three times and the heavyweight title once. He also won two consecutive editions of the Royal Rumble match and was the first to complete the Grand Slam.

Michaels officially retired in 2010, at WrestleMania XXVI, after losing to The Undertaker in one of the most spectacular matches of the modern era. The following year, he was inducted with full merit into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Together with his great friend Triple H, Shawn helped develop NXT, making the 'Black and Gold' brand a great alternative to the Raw and SmackDown shows.
