Randy Orton: "I'm the only one JBL has never targeted"

In addition to being a 14-time world champion, Randy Orton has won the Raw Tag Team Championship twice (with Riddle) and once each the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, World Tag Team Championship and SmackDown Tag Team Championship, becoming the 10th wrestler in history to have completed the Grand Slam.

He has also won the Royal Rumble match twice (in 2009 and 2017) and the 2013 edition of Money in the Bank. The Viper also holds the record for the most attendance at WWE pay-per-view events. The Legend Killer is one of the most respected performers on the roster today, but that wasn't always the case.

As a third generation superstar, Randy had to deal with a huge amount of pressure in the early years of his career. Guest in the latest edition of the Out of Character podcast, Orton thanked JBL for always giving him privileged treatment.

Bradshaw often targeted young talent backstage.

Rabdy said: "JBL used to give young talents on the roster a run for their money. He did it to test their character and help them grow ”- said Orton. “John has always had an eye for me, as my father Bob had been his mentor.

Thanks to my father and his backstage influence, I was never a target in the early years of my career. Because of this privilege of mine, many guys hated me and I didn't have a good reputatio." Randy spent beautiful words for Dolph Ziggler: "I think he's one of the most underrated superstars on the WWE roster, there's no doubt about it.

I am very sorry for him, since he has a talent out of the ordinary. Dolph is probably the best worker of my generation. I don't know if anyone has ever said it, but I assure you it's the truth." The Viper confronts much younger wrestlers than him: "If you want your career to be long, you have to learn to manage yourself. You can't risk your skin every single night."
