WWE Summerslam 2020: Dave Meltzer's ratings

After the evaluations of NXT Takeover XXX, Dave Meltzer took care of those of WWE Summerslam 2020, ppv which aired on August 23rd from the Amway Center in Orlando, in the state of Florida. It was an unprecedent edition for the health misures and for what happened during the event.

Here are his judgments of the famous American journalist: Kick-off show: WWE United States Championship match:
Apollo Crews vs MVP: 2.25 / 5 Main Card:
WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match:
Bayley vs Asuka: 3.25 / 5 WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match:
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs Angel Garza & Andrade: 2.00 / 5 No Disqualification match (Loser Leaves WWE):
Mandy Rose vs Sonya Deville: 2.75 / 5 Street Fight match:
Seth Rollins vs Dominik Mysterio: 3.75 / 5 WWE Raw Women's Championship match:
Asuka vs Sasha Banks: 3.75 / 5 WWE Championship match:
Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton: 4.25 / 5 WWE Universal Falls Count Anywhere match:
"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs Braun Strowman: 1.00 / 5

A two-sided SummerSlam for Dave Meltzer

As we can see, the American journalist judged the summer Big Four with some positive evaluations and others extremely negative.

The match with the highest rating was the WWE Champion challenge that saw Drew McIntyre take on Randy Orton, with 4.25 stars out of 5. The Smackdown women's title match between Bayley and Asuka had a rating of 3.25 stars, while the Street Fight between Seth Rollins and Dominik Mysterio and the match valid for the Raw women's title between Asuka and Sasha Banks obtained the same score, namely 3.75 stars out of 5.

The US title kick-off match between Apollo Crews and MVP scored 2.25 stars, while the No Disqualification match between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville had 2.75 stars. Instead the match between the Street Profits against Angel Garza and Andrade for the Raw couple titles got 2 stars out of 5.

The match with the lowest rating was the main event that pitted Bray Wyatt in Fiend version against Braun Strowman, rated 1 out of 5. Menwhile WWE misspelled the payback match After having even given the official status live in the last episode of the red show, complete with graphics that entered the scene confirming the match between the champions Bayley and Sasha Banks and Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, the WWE has however messed up on the advertising side on social media and online, with the company inadvertently swapping Shayna with Asuka, also including the Japanese in the titled match for the women's tag team belts.

For WWE there should have been Asuka, with plans for her that probably should have changed or with the idea of the WWE management that maybe, like as usual, it changed at the last second on a whole new project, with the Chairman of the federation having already planned other things for the athlete.
