It has been in the air for some time, but apparently no one would have imagined that the return of the Rated R Superstar would come this soon. Given the return on the road of WWE from next July 16th, McMahon have obviously also begun to advertise the return of the Canadian of his Hall of Fame, Edge, in view of the date of mid-July where they will return to have a live audience also on the television screens of the weekly shows.
During the episode of Friday Night Smackdown aired tonight, however, the unthinkable happened, with Edge who returned to show up, after the sensational defeat suffered in Wrestlemania 37, where Roman Reigns had pinned both him and Daniel Bryan at the same time, with the Canadian who returned precisely to attack the Tribal Chief of the blue show.
In the episode of the WWE Friday night show that ended just a few hours ago, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were intent on speaking into the microphone in the center of the ring as usual, when suddenly the entry music of the multiple world champion of the WWE, as well as this year's Royal Rumble winner, Edge, who immediately stepped into the ring to physically attack Reigns.
Had it not been for the intervention of Jimmy Uso, the champion probably would not have been able to free himself from the attack of the re-entrant, thus not being able to escape from under his hands. His absence had lasted for a few months now, or from the main event of Wrestlemania 37, where Edge was defeated and brutally attacked by Reigns.
It therefore seems that with this attack Edge has resoundingly reopened the feud with the Universal champion, in view of Money in the Bank and then also of Summerslam. According to the latest information that emerged from the backstage of the company, Edge would have requested to face Seth Rollins in that of Summerslam, so it will now be seen if Edge and Roman Reigns will face 1 vs 1 only at Money in the Bank, with Edge who will then dedicate himself Messiah or if Rollins is added to the title lap that counts and in Summerslam we will have a triple threat match for the title of the blue show.
