When we talk about Roman Reigns we are certainly dealing with the current main attraction of the WWE, the one who represents the face of the company of Vince McMahon. Despite being a Heel, the WWE Tribal Chief is a highly regarded wrestler and for some time the WWE Universe has been wondering who could be the wrestler who can put an end to his Friday Night Smackdown run.
In recent weeks there has been talk of a possible return to WWE, with the return of the public, Brock Lesnar and a possible incredible storyline involving The Beast and The Tribal Chief, perhaps with the involvement of the well-known manager and WWE Mad Genius.
Paul Heyman. There was also talk of a possible match between Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. During the popular Sunday Night Main Event podcast Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that there are no plans for Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar.
Meltzer made it clear that to see Lesnar return to WWE, they need a call from Vince McMahon. Here are his words: "The most likely angle right now for Brock Lesnar to return to WWE is a potential storyline with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman involved."
Rumors about Brock Lesnar started when colleague Andrew Zarian declared on the Mat Men podcast that The Beast would be back for SummerSlam. Here are his words: "I know they are trying to do something with Brock Lesnar for SummerSlam Pay per View.
I think the basic concept is about the return of the public and that the company needs to justify the payment of tickets and try to build a suitable event for Brock Lesnar's return to WWE." Brock Lesnar has been out of WWE for some time now, we haven't seen The Beast Incarnate in the ring since the WWE Championship match lost at Wrestlemania 36 to Drew McIntyre.
Braun Strowman, Lana and Aleister Black FIRED by WWE!
Layoffs in WWE seem to have no end in this 2021 and the Stamford federation, today, has again surprised the public around the world by announcing some unexpected and somewhat bizarre releases.
Although it was news this morning, the new layoffs include a list of Superstars we never thought we'd see outside WWE right now, especially as some of them had just started new storylines or were part of the latest edition of.
WrestleMania. The names of the fired wrestlers are very prominent and are: Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett. One of the names that surprises most of all and certainly that of Braun Strowman, former universal champion, intercontinental champion and couple champion, who since 2015 has been a stable presence on the main roster and who has recently taken part in a storyline with Shane McMahon which culminated at WrestleMania 37.
His last appearance dates back to WrestleMania Backlash, where he took part in a triple threat for the WWE Championship alongside Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. Another name that will surely cause a lot of discussion is that of Aleister Black: the Dutch wrestler spent several months off the scene but had recently returned to SmackDown with a revitalized character and had recently started a feud with Big E.
Among others we find Lana, another Superstar on which the WWE has always staked a lot, both outside and inside the ring, and Buddy Murphy, who reached the apex of his career on the main roster as an adept of Seth Rollins, but who had long been struggling to find its place on the Friday night show.
Finally, Ruby Riott was also released, who was part of a tag team with Liv Morgan, and Santana Garrett, NXT athlete who had participated in the last Royal Rumble. As always, WWE wished the best for the future of all newly fired athletes.
