CM Punk's return to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series PLE caused a lot of reactions. Many were surprised by the very fact that he returned. However, WWE executives decided that this great wrestler should return to where it all started.

Everyone knows his qualities well. On the other hand, CM Punk's problematic character has been a problem for him throughout his career. It seemed at certain moments that CM Punk would never show his full glory. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry commented on the negative reactions from certain wrestlers in an interview with Busted Open Radio.

Henry has an explanation for why this is so; “There’s some people at the top that’s not gonna be happy. Because they’re gonna get less minutes, they’re gonna have to acquiesce to the new addition to the company.

And there’s a lot of people that would take their ball and go home. Hell, Steve Austin took his ball and went home before."- Henry said, as quoted by pwmania.com!

Henry is one of those who do not understand why individuals have such an attitude towards CM Punk, but also towards other colleagues in general.

However, the company is bigger than anything. WWE has its own ideas, and plans that benefit them. The fact that someone comes to the company should not change things inside. "Everybody always comes back. They always realize, ‘The business is bigger than me, I don’t wanna be on the wrong side’.

And the ones that do (leave), we don’t give a * about them anyway. The ones, ‘Oh I’m gonna retire if this person comes back’. The ones that, ‘You know what, if he’s here, I don’t wanna be here’. Take your ass home then. Because the business is gonna roll and roll and roll with or without you”.
