Amidst rampant speculation regarding Edge's (known off-stage as Adam Copeland) WWE future following his last contractual match, a potential shift to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is making headlines. Matt Hardy, a longstanding rival of Edge from their WWE days, weighs in on the prospects.

On his podcast, "The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy," the AEW luminary expressed, "If Edge is parting ways with WWE, I genuinely believe he's not done. A stint with AEW, enjoying a less grueling schedule and potentially having a stronger voice in his storylines, seems plausible.

Yet, a WWE comeback can't be entirely dismissed."

Matt Hardy Recalls Iconic WWE Clashes

Matt Hardy took a nostalgic detour, reflecting on their shared history, mentioning how frequently he's queried about his dream finale in the ring.

"To lock horns with Edge and Christian Cage alongside my brother," he reminisced, evoking their epic clashes from yesteryears. With Christian Cage and the Hardy siblings already part of AEW, only Edge's inclusion remains to complete this dream tableau.

Regarding Edge's potential retirement, Hardy light-heartedly remarked, "Sounds like the usual wrestling drama. Been there since 2016!" Highlighting Edge's almost decade-long hiatus, Matt recognized the physical rejuvenation it afforded him, not to mention the priceless family moments he savored during his children's pivotal years.

Matt was unequivocal about the significance of Edge considering AEW. "For someone like Edge, a presumed WWE stalwart with a resume embellished with multiple heavyweight titles, groundbreaking feats, and an astounding comeback, to even contemplate AEW is monumental for the wrestling ecosystem," he opined.

As prospects of collaborating with Edge in AEW loom, Matt delineated Edge's unique strengths. "Edge's unwavering dedication sets him apart. Our numerous face-offs are a testament. We'd meticulously craft sequences aiming for match-of-the-night accolades – a sentiment Edge shared wholeheartedly." On backstage dynamics, Matt divulged how, unlike Jeff, who usually lets him call the shots, both Edge and Christian jointly orchestrated their bouts.

Matt lauded Edge's versatility, capable of shining solo or teaming with Christian. Regardless of Edge's next move, Matt is adamant: "Edge's passion for wrestling is undying. If he believes he can still electrify, he won't hang up his boots. Just like me."
