Anthony Bowens on LGBTQ representation within the wrestling scene

During his guest appearance on the Nerds & Beyond program, Anthony Bowens talked about LGBTQ+ representation on the wrestling scene. There is more and more space being taken up by the LGBTQ community in the media and on the big stage as time goes on.

The goal of everything is to improve the status and rights of the LGBTQ population and ensure that they have the same rights as everyone else. It is Bowens' opinion that companies should be going in this direction, and he hopes that this practice will continue as well.

“I think companies should be working towards better,” Bowens said. “For me, I’d want to present it the right way, considering how things were presented in the past which was presented terribly. So I’m actively trying to figure out what would be a good story to tell; what would be the right way to go.

Because, again, if we are going to do it the right way, we’ve got to make sure that we are doing it the right way”. - he said, as quoted by pwmania.com

Media attention

There is no doubt that the media is going to pay enormous attention to such matters and that he is aware of what he will be subjected to under the microscope.

Due to these very reasons, they must take great care and be very cautious at all times. Bowens hopes to do the right thing. “It will be under a microscope because people want to see how this goes, how it plays out, how the story’s written,” -he said.

“So there’s a delicacy to it too. It hasn’t been done correctly before. So that’s something that I would like to probably do in the future”.
Bowens is truly a great talent who certainly knows how to present things in a great way.
