Paul Heyman: "Roman Reigns' reign is like Undertaker's streak"

Roman Reigns is now one of the most important characters in the entire history of WWE and there is no doubt about it, especially after winning a titled match once again, in that of WrestleMania 39. After a whole year with the WWE title at his side, won in the previous edition of the show and almost 3 years as Universal champion, Roman Reigns continues undaunted to bring the major titles of the main roster on his shoulders.
In his latest interview, Paul Heyman wanted to talk about this formidable reign, saying how you find it similar to The Undertaker's streak, staged for 20 years in the WrestleMania rings for the McMahon company. Speaking to Ariel Helwani's microphones, Heyman in fact stated: "I don't know, I haven't had a chance to digest it yet.
I like the fact that everyone comes in and thinks it's now the last title defense. I've had experience with this before, with something that ended up and was The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania. Every year you would sit there and say: Oh this year is the last.
During the match then, the crowd would start anticipating moves and pawing and thinking every move could be the last with that historic three count on The Undertaker that would put an end to the streak. Then finally the streak was defended and everyone was like: Oh yeah, I didn't want it to end.
I can't wait to see the next chapter', and in the end it was over and the audience was shocked because they thought they could see it again. I think it's the same with Roman Reigns and his title defenses now. You always hope that this is the right time.
You think it has arrived. You are sure this is it. You see the match go on and you go 'Oh the end has come' and then you realize it's not the right one."
Roman Reigns and the message before WrestleMania from The Rock
Dwayne The Rock Johnson was undoubtedly the big absentee from WrestleMania 39.
The decision to set the most important night of the year at WWE seemed to be the ideal stage for a generational clash between the People's Champion and Roman Reigns, but this was not the case. It is not said, however, that the two cannot equally clash in the future.
The Rock wanted to congratulate the WWE fans, with his daughter Simone (Ava Raine) for the debut at Stand & Deliver and above all with the Bloodline for the work done. At the end an eloquent message that aroused the attention of the fans: "I'm curious to see all the matches, especially the main event.
I want to say something to Roman Reigns, my cousin as well as champion, and to all my family, Jey, Jimmy , Only, the Bloodline. We are all proud of you. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, we'll see each other in person very soon along the way."
