On the latest To Be The Man podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair talked about current wrestling topics. From the idea of a possible match between John Cena and Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 to the victory of the IWGP Women's Championship by Mercedes Mone and the main event of WrestleMania 39.
On the possibility of Austin Theory facing John Cena at WrestleMania 39: "I know what makes John really special. If there's a chance, something that can seriously help WWE or someone they like, he's willing to do anything.
For Theory, beating John Cena would automatically mean becoming a great wrestler and taking another great leap forward." Ric Flair has revealed that he doesn't believe that the match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania should turn into a triple threat with Sami Zayn in it: "I think only Roman and Cody will remain in the main event of WrestleMania.
The matches three man fights may be good but they are insignificant especially if the champion is not pinned and in a match like this he might not be pinned. However I'm sure they will make sure it's a great fight.I think Cody deserves that title "Roman has done an outstanding job so far, so much so that if they let him have the title again, he will continue to dominate.
I would like to see Cody win anyway because it would be something historic as his father has never managed to win a maximum title." On former Sasha Banks known in NJPW as Mercedes Mone and IWGP Women's Champion: "It's really great for her.
Sasha is one of the top four performers in the discipline right now and that won't change. I'm happy for her, she has to enjoy the moment. She won titles in two big places." Finally, Ric Flair advised Tony Khan on what he should do to boost AEW's ratings: "I would still own the federation but I think he should let someone schedule the shows.
He does everything but he's also very personally involved in his Fulham too and the Jaguars. So what I'm saying is Tony needs to split his time and his passions better."
