Lanny Poffo has died at 68 year-old

Lanny Paffo, better known in the world of professional wrestling as The Genius, sadly passed away at the age of 68, news that reached us through the legend Hacksaw Jim Duggan who wrote on social media: "With the heart filled with sadness, I was asked to let everyone know of the passing of our friend and colleague Lanny Poffo, The Genius.

RIP Lanny." Lanny Poffo was the son of Angelo Poffo as well as the brother of the famous wrestler who became legend, Macho Man Randy Savage. Poffo made his debut in 1974, wrestling for the All-South Wrestling Alliance. Soon after, he continued his career in various other realities such as the legendary National Wrestling Alliance, the Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, the Mid-South Wrestling, the Continental Wrestling Association, and others.

He then joined WWE in 1985 as Leaping Lanny before playing the aforementioned The Genius in the late 1980s. Poffo signed with WCW in 1995, but wrestled in only one match. Since 2005, he has started then to wrestle for various independent realities, wrestling his last match in January 2020, so recently, in the meantime he had also made the speech for the WWE Hall Of Fame on behalf of his brother.
