Slovakia's Petra Vlhova is also the winner of the second slalom of the season in Levi, Finland. The best skier of today celebrated the triumph in front of the biggest rival Mikaela Shiffrin, and the third place, like 24 hours before, was won by the German Lena Durr.
Vlhova achieved 22 victories in her career (thirteenth in slalom), and she reached the legendary Frenchwoman Carole Merle on the 21st position of the eternal list, with a 47 percent advantage over the American Shiffrin. Third-placed German Durr was 78 hundredths of a second behind.
The Slovak, who has as many as five victories in Levi with today's triumph, led after the first run ahead of Mikaela Shifrin and Michelle Gisin. Lena Durr was brilliant on the second track, taking the leading position from the then leading Wendy Holdener as the sixth-placed from the first, and after she was not surpassed by the Norwegian Maria Therese Tviberg (experienced a serious decline), the Swede Anna Swenn-Larsson, and already mentioned Gisin, it was the turn of the two fastest.
Despite a serious mistake in the middle of the track, Shiffrin was 31 hundredths faster than German, but it was clear that Vlhova would win if she does only a correct ride.
That's how it was, the Slovak confirmed a valuable victory with the best result of the second run.
Holdener took fourth place, Gisin remained in the fifth position, and the great sixth place went to the Czech Dubovska. Slovenian Ana Bucik took seventh place, Katharina Liensberger eighth, followed by two more Austrians, Katharina Truppe and Katharina Huber .
Leona Popović skied the career race, and in the end, she was 14th. In the general classification of the World Cup, after four races, Petra Vlhova and Mikaela Shifrin lead with 260 points each. Third-placed Slovenian Andreja Slokar has 184 points, and fourth-placed German Lena Durr has 156 points.
Norwegian Thea Louise Stjernesund is in fifth place with 140 points. Next weekend (November 27 and 28), the best skiers in the world will ride the giant slalom and slalom in Killington, USA. Vlhova achieved 22 victories in her career (thirteenth in slalom), and she reached the legendary Frenchwoman Carole Merle on the 21st position of the eternal list.
Petra Vlhova once again showed how great she is in what she does, and that she is one of the best slalom skiers. We’ll see if she can continue with such great results, but she looks dominant for now. The other girls have shown character and it can be seen that the competition will be very big this season
