Dana White revealed his plans for Diaz and Chimaev

There is a lot of talk about a potential match between Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz. While many see it as an illogical pairing in which Chimaev would have easily controlled Diaz and come to a victory, Dana White on the other hand disagrees.

Namely, the president of the UFC claims that he is accused of "throwing wolves" at Diaz. Already, Chimaev is seen by many as a fighter capable of seriously threatening Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, and other welters from the very top.

Nate Diaz on the other hand is not even ranked in the welterweight category. Still, White in an interview with BT Sport tried to explain why Diaz should not be underestimated. ‘‘ I just did an interview and they told me how everyone feels like I’m feeding wolves with Diaz.

Chimaev has four fights. Nate Diaz has been here for years and has just called for a fight against Usman." "There we could talk about feeding wolves. Listen, Khamzat Chimaev looks amazing, but he has never fought a Top 10 opponent.

’’ Dana began, and went on to explain: ‘‘ The last guy Khamzat fought was the 11th challenger. He (Chimaev) has never been in such fights. As amazing as it may seem, let’s be realistic. If Diaz wants to fight Usman, then he shouldn’t be worried about Khamzat Chimaev.

’’ White added.

By the way, Nate Diaz via Instagram story actually called out the winner of the fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Nate posted a photo of the two fighters from the confrontation and placed a sticker with a target and an arrow in the middle of the target over their faces.

Earlier, Diaz had criticized Usman for fighting a fighter he had already knocked out. As for Diaz’s contract with the UFC, Nate has one more fight to do before he and the world’s strongest MMA promotion open negotiations over a new contract.

Questions arise as to who will be Diaz's opponent in his perhaps last UFC appearance, and White reveals that Nate was offered a fight against Chimaev even before the UFC 267 event held last weekend. ‘‘ We offered him that fight even before we went to Abu Dhabi.

So he’s already been offered that match. ’’ White said. Although Diaz is not ranked, he certainly knows how to be a dangerous fighter, and such a fight could be interesting. Chimaev is in great shape and looks unstoppable, but we know that anything is possible in the UFC
