The Mexican fighter won the flyweight belt with a victory over Deiveson Figueiredo. With that victory, he earned a place on the latest P4P rankings. He currently ranks 12th in the ranking of the best fighters within the promotion.
Deiveson Figueiredo became the first-ranked fighter in the category with the mentioned defeat and loss of the belt, but he lost his place in the P4P ranking. Until this week, he was ranked tenth on that scale. Charles Oliveira and Robert Whittaker benefited from his relegation.
They jumped one place and now he is in the tenth and eleventh position of the P4P rankings. Israel Adesanya beat Alexander Volkanovsky with a victory over Marvin Vettori and now holds the third position. In front of him are only Jon Jones (# 1) and Kamaru Usman.
Welterweight Belal Muhammad also made a significant difference. With the victory against Demian Maia, he jumped as many as three places. He took ninth place and broke into the Top 10 welterweight fighters. The second defeat in a row by Demian Maiu cost him a place in the Top 10 and now he is in 11th place.
Riddell and Craig
New Zealander Brad Riddell is a ranked fighter for the first time in his career. With the victory in a great fight against Drew Dober, he took over his 13th position, while Dober, after the tied defeats against Islam Makhachev and the mentioned Riddell, is no longer a ranked fighter in an extremely strong lightweight competition.
Sure, this is a huge success for Riddell and he is aware of how much this thing will mean for his career, but this will give him the extra motivation and strength he will need in the future. Paul Craig also advanced in the rankings.
A great performance against Jamahala Hill has moved him two places up and he is currently the 12th light heavyweight fighter. Jamahala Hill did not experience any drop defeat by the Scottish fighter and remained in 15th place.
Hill can be happy in the end though. So Israel Adesanya beat Alexander Volkanovsky with a victory over Marvin Vettori and now holds the third position. In front of him are only Jon Jones (# 1) and Kamaru Usman. A lightweight fighter, Hakeem Dawodu joined Dober as a fighter who lost his ranking after the UFC 263 event.
The defeat against Movsar Evloev cost him his 15th place which is now held by Alex Caceres. Movsar Evloev jumped one place with the victory and is now the 13th fighter in the lightweight category. Several categories have experienced minor changes in the form of one place.
