Jiri Prochazka was one step away from reclaiming his UFC light heavyweight belt, but Alex Pereira’s flawless efforts prevented him from doing so.

New year, new beginnings. Jiri Prochazka is ready to make a fresh start; he will be facing Alexander Rakic at the historic UFC 300 event scheduled to take place on 13th April.

A win from here will place Jiri Prochazka in the line to get a title fight again. This a fantastic opportunity for Aleksandr Rakic, too. A win will be huge as it could subsequently allow him to fight top contenders, and he could significantly move up in the competitive light heavyweight rankings.

Jiri Prochazka is aware of his opponent's strengths and weaknesses; regardless of anything, he wants everyone to know that he is ready.

Recently on Low Kick MMA, Jiri Prochazka shared his thoughts on fighting Aleksandr Rakic and explained how he is ready for anything that shows up.

“I don’t care about what the right fight is for me,” Prochazka said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I wanted to be back as soon as possible, and Aleksandar was the first one who was free from the top five guys at light heavyweight.

So I called him about the fight. He’s 50-50, he’s a good wrestler. He’s a really strong guy, I think. His standup is not the best, but like I said, he’s a 50-50. Good striker, good wrestler, and I’m ready for both”.

Jiri Prochazka looks forward to giving his all

“I want to realize the mastery, not just in the training, not just in the daily life. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Be better, be better. But in the cage. To show it in the cage, that’s what I want to show”.
