The UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards has a bucket list of dream venues where he would like to perform for his matches. Here’s the bucket list:

  • Villa Stadium in Aston
  • Madison Square Garden
  • Saudi Arabia
Leon Edwards has always thought of fighting in these venues due to personal and financial reasons.

At some point, the UFC will definitely grant his wish. Perhaps his next title defense could be in one of the desired venues. The crowd makes the venues electrifying, which has a significant impact on the fighters.

Leon Edwards on his dream venues

Recently, on the Upfront With Simon podcast, Leon Edwards revealed his dream venues and explained why he shortlisted a few places on his bucket list.

“There’s like bucket list venues that you get in your mind as an athlete,” Edwards said as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “When I first moved to the U.K., I lived behind the Villa stadium in Aston, so I’d love to, as a 360-(degree) moment, headline Villa Park back home, defend my world title.

I think that for me would be the icing on the cake. I want to do MSG, Madison Square Garden, I was meant to do it last November. Or Saudi (Arabia) – they pay well. If not (MSG), I’ll go to Saudi. So all these little venues, I’d love to just tick off my bucket list and just go down as the best of all time.

That’s my goal right now. That’s what’s driving me”. Leon Edwards will most probably defend his belt against Belal Muhammad; if it were up to him he wouldn’t fight Belal Muhammad next because he cannot comprehend Belal Muhammad as a worthy title challenger.

The UFC 300 main event has yet to be announced, there have been rumors stating that Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammad could feature as the main event. All the doubts shall soon be cleared as the UFC will make an official announcement.
