Brandon Moreno seeks fighting a contender who he has never faced before, as he is tired of fighting the same opponent on different occasions. Interestingly, Brandon Moreno has been fighting the same opponents; Since 2020, he has fought Deiveson Figueiredo 4 times and will now face Brandon Rovyal for the second time in his career.

Moreno wants nothing but a strong win that will allow him to progress in the competitive flyweight division. Brandon Moreno will face Brandon Rovyal on 24th February; the winner of this fight could most probably get the next title shot.

In their previous encounter, Brandon Moreno secured a vicious 1st round knockout win. Rovyal has changed as a fighter, and it will be interesting to see how differently he performs against Moreno in the rematch.

Brandon Rovyal on fighting the same opponents

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Brandon Rovyal shared his thoughts on fighting Brandon Rovyal and explained how he’s tired of fighting the same opponents.

“I know Brandon Royval is going to come very motivated,” Moreno said, as quoted by “He has nothing to lose and everything to win. … For me, it’s just to make a statement and keep my name there for the flyweight championship in the future.

If you watch my record in the last years since 2020, I’m always fighting with the same guys, I’m just kind of tired – it’s kind of boring, but it is what it is. I was excited for this fight against Amir Albazi because new body, new game plan, new everything.

So I was excited for that, but then he had to pull out for an injury. This is how this sport works and I understand. Brandon Royval jumped for the opportunity. It’s tiring, it’s boring, but a fight is a fight, a win is a win, and I need this win to keep my name there”.
