The rising UFC middleweight contender Bo Nickal has created a lot of noise in the division; from the 2 matches that he participated in, he finished all of the opponents within 3mins of the 1st round!
As far as his overall career is concerned, he is 5-0, and it is worth knowing that all those 5 matches also ended in the first round.
Bo Nickal wins by knockout!
With this pace, Bo Nickal can't be kept away from the top contenders for long. He is making his way to the top rapidly, and if he continues to compete like this, in no time, he will secure a title fight for himself. Interstingly, Bo Nickal believes he has what it takes to beat Khamzat Chimaev.
Bo Nickal on Khamzat Chimaev
Recently on The MMA Hour, Bo Nickal shared his thoughts on fighting Khamzat Chimaev and revealed his future goals. “He’s a tough guy, of course,” Nickal said, as quoted by mmafighting.com.
“When you have a guy like Kamaru Usman, who is one of the all-time greats at his weight class, he was a champion, defended the belt multiple times, good wrestling base, and [Chimaev] is able to take him down and control him like what he did in the first round, I think there’s a lot to be said for that.
But at the same time, I believe in myself and I think my skills match up very well against him. I feel like that’s a fight that I win. My goal is to be a UFC champion, No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, and so I’m not really planning right now for beating Cody Brundage.
Of course, that’s part of the training, but my main plan is to get that belt, defend my belt 10 times. That’s what I’m looking to do. You see the path, I see the path, I think everybody sees it. That’s why there’s as much hype as there is on me”.
