The historic UFC 300 event continues to get more and more interesting as new fights are being announced. One interesting matchup recently got added to the main card: Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan. UFC president Dana White made the news official via a recent video.
The UFC 300 main event hasn’t been announced yet. The winner of this fight will most probably fight the UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. This fight makes a lot of sense, but where does that leave Justin Gaethje? He was also one step away from getting a title shot after claiming a significant win against Dustin Poirier.
Tsarukyan vs Oliveira will be a treat for all fans; both fighters last fought Beneil Dariush and secured a spectacular 1st round knockout win. In terms of timing, Arman Tsarukyan knocked out Beneil Dariush faster than Oliveira did.

Arman Tsarukyan on fighting Charles Oliveira
Recently on The MMA Hour, Arman Tsarukyan shared his thoughts on fighting Charles Oliveira. “[Oliveira] pulled out from the last fight, beat Dariush, and lost to Islam,” Tsarukyan said, as quoted by mmafighting.com.
“It’s like 99 percent he’s going to lose to Islam. If they want to see that fight, go ahead, but if they want to see new generation, new fighter, they’ve got to put me on that fight. I’m going to show the world who is the best in our division.
I’m going to give him the [most] competitive fight of his life”. The UFC 300 event is scheduled to take place on 13th April T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It is a must-win for both fighters; the hungrier one will get his hands raised on 13th of April.
Tsarukyan has fought Islam Makhachev before, and it was far from a one-sided match. Charles Oliveira, on the flip side, failed to showcase his skills and abilities. Islam Makhachev is expected to show up in the second half of 2024.
