Conor McGregor successfully put a big smile on every fans face who were eagerly waiting for him to announce his comeback date and opponent. Verbally, it’s official! Conor McGregor will fight Michael Chandler on 29th June.

McGregor said the fight will happen at 185 (middleweight), but since his tone was quite sarcastic, fans and MMA experts are having a hard time believing that McGregor’s comeback will happen at 185.

Michael Chandler recently revealed that the chances of it being a middleweight fight are 50-50, but from his end, he is ready to show up at any weight division.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Michael Chandler shared his thoughts on fighting Conor McGregor and shed some light on the possibility of it happening in the middleweight division.

“I don’t know if I’d call (McGregor’s return) the greatest comeback in sports history,” Chandler said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “But, yeah, as of right now, June 29th is the date, and we are preparing for it, I have a hundred percent confidence that I’m fighting Conor McGregor on June 29th”.

Chandler on fighting Conor McGregor at 185 pounds “Ultimately, I’m 50-50 on it. And ultimately it doesn’t matter, I spent five weeks around Conor. I don’t care if he wants to fight at 185, 170, 205, whatever it might be.

You’ve got to remember: He doesn’t want to fight 155 because he wants everybody to believe he’s bigger than he is. He, in his mind, can’t fight at 170, because I called him out at 170, therefore he’s doing what I said at 170.

So he has to say 185, just like he did in the intro scene of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ telling me it was gonna be at 185. I don’t give a rip about what the weight is. …
