The notorious Conor McGregor is soon going to announce his return. According to McGregor’s recent tweet, he will announce his next opponent and comeback date on 1st January 2024.McGregor has been inactive for more than 2 years because of facing a nasty injury (broken ankle) in the trilogy match with Dustin Poirier.

Conor McGregor was expected to show up this year, but USADA consumed a lot of time and postponed his much-awaited return to 2024.

April is the month McGregor and his manager mentioned on several occasions, and if that does turn out to be the case, then it would be fair to assume that he will be featured in the historic UFC 300 event.

Conor McGregor promises the greatest comeback in the history of the sport

The fight fans worldwide missed McGregor beyond any measure, and his recent tweets have put a big smile on many faces.

As far as his next opponent is concerned, McGregor could most likely fight Michael Chandler next, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Michael Chandler believes McGregor is avoiding him and will eventually slip out of the potential fight.

That would be heavily disappointing for Michael Chandler as he seems to be patiently waiting for the McGregor fight and hasn’t fought any other contender since 2022.

Justin Gaethje, Islam Makhachev and Kamaru Usman are some of the contenders on Conor McGregor’s opponent list – it will be interesting to see if McGregor can break out of his losing streak and make his way to the top again.

A loss can have a harmful impact on McGregor’s career, as he’s already on a 2 match-losing streak. A few comprehensive victories could get him the 4th match with Dustin Poirier. Apart from MMA, McGregor is also interested in making a return as a boxer.
