Alexandre Pantoja had a successful title defense against Brandon Rovyal; after 5 rounds of action, the judges declared Pantoja the winner via unanimous decision. This loss will haunt Rovyal for a long time as he was eagerly waiting to secure a win.

A victory was so important to Rovyal that he wasn’t even concerned about getting the prestigious UFC flyweight belt.

At the end of it, the fighters had nothing but love and respect for each other. Pantoja is ready to fight against anyone from the flyweight division. He loves watching most of the contenders fight.

“Maybe it’s too boring [on fighting Brandon Rovyal].

I don’t like to do that fight, but Brandon Rovyal is a tough guy. I need to keep this belt for my family and for Brazil. Brazil needs some idols right now, keeping looking for your family and kids. That’s the most important thing in your life.

I feel a little dizzy end of this fight; this guy don’t stop anytime”.

“I don’t expect a war like that; that’s the flyweight division. All the guys are prepared for the moment I have all my respect for Brandon Rovyal I shake him a couple of times, especially in the first rounds.

I kicked him so hard in the ribs I don’t know how he kept coming. I am glad I could show more of my striking in this fight. He improved a lot. He evolved so much he has gone to another level, and I am very happy for him and I want to make sure the next time I fight him, I need to train a lot”.
