The lightweight division keeps on getting more and more interesting; quite a few fighters are on a steady rise – Bobby Green being one of them. Bobby’s current form seems to be lethal and could turn out to be a massive threat to all contenders in the division.
He is currently ranked 13th in the lightweight division and is just a few steps away from entering the top 10. A win against Dan Hooker will do the job; they are set to clash on 2nd December. Interestingly, Bobby Green finds Arman Tsarukyan and his fighting style boring and would love to avoid fighting such contenders.
Bobby seems to be more interested in facing Max Holloway.
Bobby Green on Arman Tsarukyan and Max Holloway
In a recent interview with The Schmo, Bobby Green shared his honest opinion on Arman Tsarukyan and revealed why he wants to fight Max Holloway.
“I got a lot of people that want my name, a lot of people that want to fight me,” Green said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “A lot of people are saying that they want to get down now all of the sudden that I’m hot.
Would I want to fight those guys? That Arman guy is boring. I can’t stand watching him fight. Every time I’ve watched him fight, I go to sleep. Then he calls out, ‘50 g’s! Dana [White], give me 50 g’s!’.
I’m like, ‘For what?! What did you do? That was terrible.’ I don’t like to fight the boring guys, those guys suck. That’s just weird, those guys are weird. I respect Beneil, the work Beneil’s put in.
I like Beneil, but that Arman guy is just a terrible fighter. I had to already do that with Dawson and Dawson was a sleeper. I don’t want to keep fighting the boring guys, those guys suck”.
Green on fighting Max Holloway
"They’ve been saying Max Holloway’s the best boxer in the UFC, I’m like, ‘Bro, my boxing’s pretty cold.’ Let’s find out who’s the better boxer.
He was talking about coming to fight Gaethje. Nah, you gotta come see me first. But I gotta crack that top 10 before I can get him”.
