The middleweight war, Brendon Allen vs Paul Craig, was engaging. Both fighters gave their all, but something was different about Brandon Allen; he dominated with great aggression. Allen successfully choked Paul Craig in the third round and extended his winning streak.

Allen is currently the 10th ranked middleweight contender, and after performing this well consistently, he wants his next fight to be against a top contender from the division.

It will be fascinating to see who the UFC decides to match Brandon Allen against next. One thing is certain: that he is just a few steps away from getting a title shot.

Brandon Allen needs 2-3 more convincing wins, after which a title fight will be inevitable.

Brandon Allen’s post-match interview

During the post-match interview, Brandon Allen revealed who he would like to fight next and explained why he wanted to fight against a top opponent.

“I’m a man of my word, that’s what I do,” Allen said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I need a No. 1 contender’s shot. I think I deserve it. I’ve earned it. I beat everyone they put in front of me.

I finished them. Whoever the UFC says that it is. I don’t care who. [Robert] Whittaker, [Jared] Cannonier, [Khamzat Chimaev], whoever, I don’t care. I’m trying to fight. I want the No. 1 contender, I’m the best in the world.

I’m here to prove it. If you say otherwise, come show me, don’t tell me. I’m coming, I’m a problem. Come see me if you want it”. Paul Craig has a few corrections to make; his climb to the top will be a little difficult from here.

Both fighters will show up next year; we will find out if Brendon Allen has what it takes to maintain the winning momentum by securing another win.
