The top contenders, Arman Tsarukyan and Beneil Dariush, will face each other for a lightweight clash on 2nd December at Moody Center in Austin Texas. This has to be one of the biggest opportunities for Tsarukyan to showcase his skills and prove to the world that he is worthy of fighting for the lightweight belt.

Interestingly, Arman Tsarukyan started his UFC journey fighting the current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

The match did not go in Tsarukyan’s favor; however, a few more comprehensive wins could get Tsarukyan a rematch opportunity against Makhachev.

Beneil Dariush faced a defeat after a very long time. His loss against Charles Oliveira was a tough one, and it will be interesting to see how well he bounces back. A must-win for both fighters! The result of the fight may shock many people.

Arman Tsarukyan on fighting Beneil Dariush

In a recent interview with the UFC, Arman Tsarukyan shared his thoughts on fighting Beneil Dariush and explained why he’s grateful for the opportunity. “I believe my conditioning is better, and I’ll finish him,” Tsarukyan said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com.

“I’m the best young fighter in our division. Beneil, he has like more than 20 fights in the UFC, and he has a lot of experience. So, young wolf vs. old wolf. We’ll see who’s going to win.I’ve been waiting for this moment a long time, I called out a lot of times guys from the top five, and I couldn’t (get it).

Tsarukyan further said: But now, finally I’ve got someone from the top five, and I deserve it. I’m going to show on Dec. 2 I can be in the top five and be a champion. I want to finish Beneil and show everybody I deserve to fight for the title”.
