UFC women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso suffered a fracture in her right hand after her last fight where she defended her belt against Valentina Shevchenko. You could see right at the end of the match that Grasso was complaining of pain in her arm, but at that time she was still under the influence of the split decision that left her as the champion of the flyweight division.
Grasso revealed that the injury is serious and that she will have to undergo surgery. It is interesting to note that her opponent Valentina Shevchenko is in the same match at Noche UFC on Sept. 16 suffered an injury to her right hand, a basic fracture, just like Grasso.
Alexa Grasso said that she will try to recover as soon as possible, but she cannot say with certainty when she will return to the octagon again. Injuries are an integral part of combat sports, but this specific situation is not very often seen.
We will have to wait for the recovery of champion Alexa Grasso to see the triology against Shevchenko

“The surgery was a success, and thank you so much for Doctor Arroyo and Doctor Zarate, you guys are angels. I trust them completely with my health in their hands @sportmedmx and I know I’m going to be super ready for that trilogy”.
