Stipe Miocic is a very well-known name to everyone, at least when it comes to martial arts. Soon, this former UFC heavyweight champion will fight against the undisputed Jon Jones. In one of his recent interviews, he pointed out that no matter how the fight with Jones ends, he still regrets that the third match against the Frenchman Francis Ngannou did not happen.

Stipe Miocic really wanted that third match with Francis Ngannou

We remind you that this huge Croatian fought 2 matches with Ngannou. He won the first match and beat the French well, while he lost in the second match. Stipe Miocic admits that he is sorry that the trilogy did not happen.

In the meantime, Ngannou moved to the PFL, so the chances of the two fighting are reduced to a minimum.
“It definitely sucks. I definitely wanted that trilogy,” Miocic said in an interview with the New York Post.

“But unfortunately, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Listen, he’s on to bigger and better things”. Given that Francis Ngannou has scheduled a boxing match with Tyson Fury, it is quite uncertain whether we will ever see that match.

Miocic believes that Ngannou has a good chance against the Irishman. As the main reason, he cites the strong hand punch that Ngannou is best known for. Miocic found time to comment on this match that left a deep mark on him, even though he already has a very important match against the current heavyweight champion in the UFC, Jon Jones.

“On paper, Tyson Fury is one of the best boxers of all time, amazing at what he does. But Francis hits really hard,” Miocic said. “It’s a fight. Anything can happen. I wish him nothing but the best. I hope he shocks the world”.
