Mizuki Inoue returned last Saturday at UFC Fight Night 228 after a little more than 3 years of rest. Mizuki is known to be a very good female fighter, but she hasn't fought in a long time, so the audience was skeptical about her return.

On Saturday she fought Hannah Goldy who is also a very good fighter, but Mizuki managed to shut up her critics and get another win after a long time. “It was my first time in three years, so I’m glad that I was able to win that fight.

But at the same time, I wasn’t too happy with my performance. I wasn’t able to show the fans what I can do in the octagon. Next time, I’m looking to showcase what I can do”. “I think the first reason (it was a hard fight) is obviously Hannah came here to fight, and she had an excellent game plan to try to not let me do what I want to do.

But at the same time, it was my first time in three years, so I was a little bit rusty. Everything combines into one, so next time I’ll try to do a better performance”. as quoted by MMAJunkie.

Mizuki doesn't care who the next opponent will be, she simply wanted to fight

She thanked all her fans, and especially thanked her teammates and coaches.

She said that this is exactly how she imagined her return. Now that she has continued her career with a victory, she claims that she doesn't care who her next opponent will be. She trusts the UFC management to choose the right opponent for her.

“Well, I really don’t have anyone in specific that I want to fight. I’m just willing to fight anybody the UFC puts against me. I’m just going to wait for the UFC to (give me a) fight. I’m just going to be training toward that fight to win that fight.

In terms of timing, since I have no injuries in this fight, I would like to get back into the octagon as soon as possible”.
