The recently announced fight between Tony Ferguson and Paddy Pimblett quickly turned into a heated debate; most people are against this match-up for countless reasons. Michael Bisping stepped into the conversation and wants everyone to understand that Tony Ferguson shouldn’t be taken lightly just because he is on a 6 match-losing streak.

It is easy for the crowd to assume that Paddy Pimblett is going to secure an easy win, but they should do some research on who Tony Ferguson is. Ferguson is one step away from breaking out of the losing streak, and the MMA world will tune in on 16th December to see if Ferguson has what it takes to prove all naysayers wrong.

Michael Bisping on Tony Ferguson

In a recent YouTube video, Michael Bisping shared his perspective on the upcoming lightweight fight between Paddy Pimblett and Tony Ferguson. Bisping explained why people shouldn’t underestimate Tony Ferguson.

“A lot of people on social media are talking **** about this fight, and I don’t understand that,” Bisping said as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “Paddy ‘The Baddy’ has got to come back (from surgery).

You’ve got to give him a credible opponent, and Tony Ferguson’s a wild *********. “He’s a fighter, man. He will fight tooth and nail. You literally have to finish Tony Ferguson to get him to stop coming forward.

There is no quit in that man. At 39, yeah, of course he’s taken a lot of damage. But also (he has) a lot of experience. Tony Ferguson is still a dangerous man, make no mistake about that, and it’s a really, really tough spot for Paddy Pimblett because it’s a lose-lose, right? Already there’s people out there talking **** saying, ‘Nah, they’re just giving Paddy somebody easy.’Tony Ferguson is not easy.

Bisping further said: He’s not an easy fight for anyone. But because he’s lost six fights in a row, if (Pimblett) goes out there and wins, well then guess what everyone’s going to say? ‘Well of course you just beat Tony Ferguson – he’s lost his last six in a row. He’s been finished the last three times in a row”.
