The lightweight clash between Daniel Zelluber and Christos Giagos at Noche UFC at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was nothing less than terrific; Zelluber made perfect use of his grappling abilities and submitted Gigoas in round 2.

Zellhuber updated his professional MMA record to 14-1 and is currently on a two match winning streak.

A few more wins for Zellhuber will unquestionably lead to fights with higher ranked opponents. Daniel Zellhuber is grateful for fighting in front of a large crowd; it gives him a sense of fulfilment, something which he felt was missing when he fought at the Apex.

It will be very interesting to see who the UFC decides to match him up against.

Daniel Zellhuber on his recent win

During the recent post-fight press conference, Daniel Zellhuber expressed what it was like fighting in front of a large crowd and explained how he felt winning against Christos Giagos.

“I love fighting for the crowd. I love fighting for people,” Zellhuber said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I feel weird when I fight at the Apex. I remember when I fought on the Contender Series – those types of fights are weird because you lack something, and in these last two fights that I had with big crowds, it’s something unbelievable.

That’s the best – fighting for a crowd”. Zellhuber further said:It was a great win against a tough opponent, A guy that has losses against tough guys, Gilbert Burns, Charles Oliveira, Thiago Moises, Arman Tsarukyan – I just beat that guy, so I’m excited.

I’m happy”. Daniel Zellhuber seems to be just a few steps away from being featured in the top 15 rankings of the lightweight division. Since Zellhuber has been pretty active, it would be fair to assume that he will show up next in 2024.
