The recent women’s flyweight clash turned out to be a draw; however, Alexa Grasso believes she won the match. It’s quite rare to see the outcome of a title fight declared as a draw; it was a very competitive knock, but many people believe it was Alexa Grasso who won the match.
Grasso secured a fabulous knockdown; take a look below:

Hopefully, it could happen before the end of 2023. Since the match was declared a draw, Alexa Grasso remains to be the UFC women’s flyweight champion of the world.Other contenders who were eagerly waiting for a title shot will unfortunately have to wait for a little longer.
The next women’s flyweight fight from the top 5 rankings could be between Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot.
Alexa Grasso on her performance
During the post-fight interview, Alexa Grasso spoke about the match and the outcome.
Grass also shared her thoughts on an immediate trilogy match. “I’m happy with my performance,” Grasso said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “For me, it was 3-2. The fourth and fifth were for me, but I’m not the judge, so yeah.
I’m not the judge”. Grasso said about the trilogy: “It’s an interesting question, I wouldn’t like to stop the division. There are a lot of girls fighting a lot to have this opportunity like I did, so I wouldn’t like to stop it.
But whatever the UFC says, I’m in”. After the match, Valentina Shevchenko revealed that she injured her thumb, and the x-ray reports for the injured thumb will largely dictate her next steps from here. If all goes well, it would be fair to assume that Grasso and Shevchenko could face each other for a trilogy match in December' if not they could face each other next in 2024.
