The welterweight contender Kevin Jousset recently made his UFC debut; he fought against Kiefer Crosbie and claimed a dominating 1 round submission; definitely a great way to leave a first impression. After winning the fight, without hesitating, he called out the rising welterweight fighter Ian Machado Gary.

Normal spectators would look at it as an unrealistic call out, but who knows Kevin Jousset could make his way to the top and actually end up fulfilling his goal of fighting Ian Machado Garry. After a perfect UFC debut, Jousset could show up by the end of 2023, if not next year.

Majority of Kevin Jousset’ wins came either via knockout or submissions.

Kevin Jousset justifies Ian Machado Garry call out

During the post-fight press conference, Kevin Jousset explained why he called out Ian Machado Garry and revealed that he looks forward to fighting big names.

“I think he’s a good fighter,” Jousset said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I think he wants to go all the way to the top and so do I. I’m sure he thinks he’s one of the best guys in the world and so do I”.

Jousset further said: “Surely we have the same goals of being world champion eventually, and being in the UFC for me means I’m here to fight the best guys in the world. I’m not here to fight bums or fight guys that nobody knows about.

I’m here to fight the best guys in the world and make money. So, if I can do both at the same time, perfect. I agree, I think he’s annoying”. Kevin Jousset has a professional MMA record of 9-2; he seems to be pretty ambitious about the future.

Jousset will have to secure a few more wins in dominating style before he can get an opportunity to fight against well-known opponents from the competitive welterweight division.
