Jon Jones was on the OverDogs podcast and talked about his career where he touched on his future. Jon Jones is expecting a match in November against Stipe Miocic, where he will have to defend the belt of the heavyweight champion at UFC 295.

As always, Jones is very confident in himself, but he must admit that this is one of his toughest matches. Jon Jones is already thinking about the next opponents after Stipe Miocic If the current champion Jon Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) defends his title again, there are many interesting names in circulation for the next opponent.

There are many names, but certainly Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich stand out. However, Jones is not really excited about those opponents, and the audience also thinks that Jon Jones should have a more famous opponent. “They’re amazing – don’t get me wrong,” Jones said on the OverDogs Podcast.

“They’re starching people in the first round. But as I get older, I have to look at it as a business and not just speak out of pride, but speak as my legacy and as a business. If the hardcore fans know who these guys are, that’s great.

But at the end of the day I have to fight people that the mainstream public is going to be excited about. Because when you’re in my position, there’s always going to be this new challenge that’s younger than you that everyone wants to see you do it one more time”.

Jon Jones praises the UFC's young fighters

Heavyweight champion Jon Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) has only words of praise for the young heavyweight fighters and says that the organization has a bright future.

He especially praised Tom Aspinall who publicly expressed his desire to fight Jones. Jon Jones believes that there is nothing to be gained from their match but that he thinks Aspinall will do great things in the years to come.

“Tom Aspinall, I think he really has the potential to do something really special in the heavyweight division,” Jones said. “I think he’s going to be hard for the majority of guys to beat. I really do believe that”.
