Talia Santos and Erin Blanchfield will finally square off this Saturday night. Their fight was previously scheduled to take place in February, but due to personal reasons, Talia Santos pulled out of the event. As far as experience is concerned, Santos is evidently ahead, but the outcome of this event will break down to both fighter's willingness to win.

It's an important match for the women's flyweight division as the winner will seamlessly progress in the competitive division and move up in rankings. Santos is confident of a victory, and her self-esteem seems to be strong.

Santos believes Erin Blanchfield hasn't competed at the level she has. Interestingly, Erin Blanchfield is above Taila Santos in the rankings, and if Santos wins the match, she will switch with Blanchfield. A win for Santos could book her a rematch with Valentina Shevchenko.

Taila Santos on Erin Blanchfield and Alexa Grasso

During the recent media day, Taila Santos shared her thoughts on Erin Blanchfield's abilities as a fighter and also talked about the flyweight champion Alexa Grasso. "Erin is an upcoming fighter, but I believe they put the cart in front of the horse," Santos said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com.

"She has not fought well known, even the top-five of the division. Yes, she's good on the ground. My background is in muay Thai. I feel very comfortable in exchanges, but I'm also very good on the ground. I'm confident in myself too." I'm very excited about this, because a lot of people talk that she's an upcoming promise, but if she's a promise, I'm a reality, so I'm very excited about this".

Santos further said: "Grasso is a dedicated fighter. She's also very good technically, but I don't see her as dangerous, I see that she's technically a good fighter, but I don't think that she's dangerous".
