Tatiana Suarez is on a terrific winning streak and it seems to be an unending one; she is currently the 4th ranked Strawweight contender and seems to be just a few steps away from getting the title shot against the current champion, Zhang Weili.

Suarez last fought against Jessica Andrade and claimed a fantastic submission win. Suarez is happy to compete but now wants to elevate her game and fight against a big name so that her path to getting a title shot can become more obtainable.

Suarez has a terrific undefeated record of 11-0, and it will be fascinating to see how long she can continue to maintain the record and dominate convincingly against challenging opponents.

Tatiana Suarez on what's next

Recently, Tatiana Suarez shared her thoughts on what she wants next and explained why she is demanding a fight against a big name.

“I don’t mind fighting again,” Suarez said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I always like to fight. I like to fight anybody, but I definitely want to fight the bigger names, people that have either fought for titles or been title holders.

That’s the only reason why I kept asking for Rose (Namajunas) because obviously she was a champion. Suarez further said: “Not that I have anything – they’re like, ‘You keep calling her out.’ No, I just want to fight the best of the best because that just shows that you’re the best when you beat them.

So it’s like, why wouldn’t you want that challenge?”. Since Suarez just fought, we can expect her to fight one more time before the end of 2023; if not, she will definitely make a return next year. Suarez is 1-2 fights away from securing a title shot; she could fight Rose Namajunas next, if not someone from the top 5 in the competitive strawweight division.
