The new UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley has claimed a position of authority where he has a say on who he decides to defend his belt against. O’Malley urges his potential opponent Marlon Vera to behave; if not, O’Malley won’t hesitate to move on to fighting someone else from the competitive bantamweight division.A rematch between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera is a valid matchup as Vera is the only fighter to give O’Malley the bitter taste of defeat; Vera viciously claimed a first round knockout victory against O'Malley in August 2020.

This is the perfect opportunity for O’Malley to avenge the loss and continue promoting himself as the best fighter in the division. Vera has also worked very hard to make his way to the top, and it will be interesting to see if the UFC can grant him a title shot next.

Sean O’Malley’ thoughts on Marlon Vera

In the TimboSugarShow Podcast, Sean O’Malley talks about Marlon Vera and claims that he will fight someone else if Vera does not change his attitude. “You need to ******* settle down, or I’ll pick Henry Cejudo,” O’Malley said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com.

“And don’t think that I don’t have the power to pick who I want to fight right now. So you better go on Twitter, say, ‘Daddy, will you fight me?’ And I’ll ****** think about it”. O’Malley further said: “You need to settle down acting like you call the shots right now, I’ll go box Gervonta (Davis).

I’ll fight Henry. I’ll wait for Cory. You need to chill out with your ****** ugly *** outfits”. O’Malley could fight before December if not if he will most likely defend his belt against a top contender in 2024.

Aljamain Sterling won’t get an immediate rematch; he will have to win 1-2 more matches before he can claim a title shot again.
