After a disheartening UFC debut, Jaqueline Amorim claimed a fantastic comeback; she recently fought against Montserrat Conejo Ruiz and secured a vicious 3rd round TKO win. Her professional record has now been updated to 7-1, and she is ready to fight more time before the year ends.
Amorim didn’t have the best UFC debut, as she lost against Sam Hughes via unanimous decision, but the comeback win will definitely open new doors for her emerging career. A few consecutive wins will allow her to climb up the ladders in the competitive women’s strawweight division.

Jaqueline Amorim on the recent win
In the post-fight interview, Jaqueline Amorim talks about the emotions running around her mind and reveals when she wants to fight next.
“Finally my first UFC win, so I’m just feeling really happy right now," Amorim said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. "Today, I’m finally able to show what I’m capable of a little bit inside the octagon.
I have no words to describe how I’m feeling right now. After my UFC debut, I knew I had a lot of mistakes. I came back to my team, I corrected some mistakes, and I wanted to be dominant today. Amorim reflects on her emotions: I stepped inside the octagon with my mind like I wanted to show dominance every round, and that’s exactly what I did”.
“It was very difficult after my first loss in my UFC debut. I was really sad, to be honest. During this camp, I had a lot of tough moments that I was not believing in myself. I spent a week off of this fight camp – I was just so frustrated.
I had some injuries in the camp, so there were days that I would just cry. Amorim further said: “It’s one of my dreams since I signed to the UFC, so if the UFC wants, I’ll be ready in November to fight in the UFC Brazil (in Sao Paulo). I’ll be really happy to fight in front of my fans, my family, my dad”.
