Jiri Prochazka ready to face Alex Pereira: “If I have to choke him, I will choke him”

Jiri Prochakza will most likely fight against Alex Pereira next for the vacant light heavyweight belt that was recently put down by Jamahal Hill. Pereira somewhat proved his worth to fight for the title by securing a win against the top contender Jan Blachowicz.

Prochazka has been inactive for more than a year now and is ready to make a comeback for the prestigious belt before 2023 ends. Prochazka recognizes the threat Alex Pereira can turn out to be, but regardless of the challenge, he is ready to do what’s meant to be done and will acclimatize himself to come out victorious.

In a recent interview with AllStar, The former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jiri Prochazka, shares his thoughts on a potential match with Alex Pereira and reveals the possible date for the fight to take place.

“I think he has one of the best striking (games) at middleweight,” Prochazka said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “Light heavyweight, we will see. I’m ready. Like every time. I will do everything for the win.

If I will have to change myself… I will do that. Like Glover, if I have to choke him, I will choke him. It doesn’t matter. That’s (what) fighting’s about, to adjust”. “He was on top in the middleweight, so I think he deserves some top position in light heavyweight, he defeated Jan Blachowicz.
