The match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul caused great interest and reactions from many. In the end, Nate failed to defeat Paul, but he amazed the whole world with his fighting spirit and readiness despite the fact that he is 40 years old.
Dana White, the main man of the UFC, also had only words of praise for Diaz, who had a great match against Jake Paul. “For a kid pushing 40 years old fighting a guy four weight classes bigger than him in boxing and two in MMA and going the distance at his age against a 20-f*cking-something-year-old kid, so far, he’s fared the best,” White said, as quoted by mmajunkieusatoday. “He looked good.
I’m happy for him”.
Nate Diaz and his UFC return
Nate Diaz, as well as his brother, left a big mark on the UFC and remained written in golden letters in the history of MMA. Many are wondering if there are any chances for Nate Diaz to return to the UFC and fight.
In his address, Dana White emphasized that the door is always open for Diaz. However, Dana was not direct about a potential fight for Nate in the future. “We feel the same way about Nate. We always have,” White said.
“I always joke around about dealing with the Diaz Brothers. These two, you see it now. They’re two iconic fighters that 20 years from now everybody will remember and talk about. This will always be Nate’s house.
Nate grew up here. He came up on ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ He fought some of the biggest fights ever here. We love the kid. I don’t know about fighting in the future, but this is always going to be his house. We’ll see”.
We will see what the future holds for him, and how much he is really interested in fighting within the UFC. Time will tell.
