Drew Dober calls out Paddy Pimblett

The UFC lightweight contender Drew Dober recently fought against Matt Frevola and faced a knockout loss; in spite of going through such a rough phase, his ambitious side hasn’t diminished, and he looks forward to challenging himself against someone from the top 10 and also has one name in his mind: Paddy Pimblett.

Drew Dober is well experienced with a professional record of 26-12 and is a few wins away from being ranked in the top 15 lightweight rankings. It will be interesting to see how Paddy responds to his call out; Paddy was heavily injured; however, he has now almost recovered, and recently he also revealed that he wants to fight 3 times in 2024.

If not Pimblett, Dober should keep his hopes high for a match with someone from the top 10 or top 15 rankings.

Drew Dober on his next fight

Recently on The MMA Junkie Radio, Drew Dober spoke about his next fight and talked about who is willing to fight next.

Dober is against the idea of retirement and looks forward to fighting as many times as he can in his personal capacity. “Ideally I want somebody in that top 10. But that Paddy Pimblett fight’s looking pretty good, too,” Dober said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “I wonder if he’s going to find his courage and take a fight with me”.

“The sooner (I fight), the better, I told the UFC that I’m available. We’re going through opponents, and whoever is going to say yes. You only live once, so you try to get as many opportunities as possible.

“The idea of retiring scares me, so we’re just going to get as many fights as we possibly can before I retire. It doesn’t take much to motivate me”. Drew Dober may fight one more time before the end of 2023, and we will soon find out if it’s Paddy Pimblett or not.
