Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund is a German multi-sports club based in the city of Dortmund. It is best known for its soccer section, which plays in the Bundesliga, the top division of the German football championship.

Founded in 1909 on the initiative of nineteen Dortmund footballers, it is one of the most successful German football clubs, having won a Cup Winners' Cup (in 1965-1966), a UEFA Champions League (in 1996-1997) and an Intercontinental Cup (in 1997 ) and on the domestic field eight national titles, five German Cups and six German Super Cups. Thanks to the 1966 victory in the Cup Winners' Cup, it became the first German club to lift an international trophy and is one of the teams that have played at least one final in the main European competitions played until 2020-2021 (European Cup/Champions League, Cups, UEFA Cup/Europa League).

Since 1974 he has played at Signal Iduna Park, the largest stadium in Germany and the one with the highest average attendance.
