Amanda Nunes, born 1988, is a Brazilian former mixed martial arts fighter. She fights in the bantamweight division for the US promotion UFC, where she was champion of the category from 2016 to 2021; in 2018 she became the first double champion in the history of the federation, also winning the featherweight title.
With victories over athletes such as Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, Germaine de Randamie, Miesha Tate, Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm, Nunes is considered the greatest fighter of all time. At the time of her retirement, she was ranked No. 1 in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings.
