Ben Askren is a former American mixed martial artist and wrestler.
From 2014 to 2018 he was welterweight champion in the Asian promotion ONE FC after having held the title from 2010 to 2013 in Bellator (where he also won the category tournament of the second season). In 2019 he joined the UFC, where he announced his retirement after just three fights.
In free wrestling he was one of the best of his generation and took part in the 2008 Beijing Olympics; he was also Pan American champion in 2005 and FILA world grappling champion in 2009.
