Aleix Espargaro

After winning the Spanish championship of the 125 class in 2004, in the same year Aleix Espargaro made his debut in the 125 class of the world championship racing in the Valencian Community Grand Prix with a Honda RS 125 R of the Racc Caja Madrid team as a wildcard, finishing 24th.

In 2005 he ran his first full season in the world championship in the Seedorf RC3 - Tiempo Holidays team, with teammate Álvaro Bautista, finishing the season 16th with 36 points and obtaining a seventh place in China as his best result.

In 2009 he was hired in MotoGP by the Pramac Racing team as a substitute for Mika Kallio in the Indianapolis and San Marino Grands Prix. In 2012 he returned to MotoGP, hired by the Power Electronics Aspar team, which entrusted him with an ART GP12 (a motorcycle that complies with the new regulation for CRTs); teammate is Randy De Puniet.

In the 2022 season, in which Aprilia returns as a factory team, it takes pole position in the Argentine Grand Prix and the following day finishes the race in first position, obtaining its first overall victory in the world championship, also corresponding to the manufacturer's first victory of Noale in premier class; in the same race he completes the hat trick also recording the fastest lap.
