Glover Teixeira, born October 28, 1979 in Sobralia, Brazil, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who currently competes in the light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Teixeira began his mixed martial arts career in 2002, having been inspired to become a fighter after seeing some fights on television. With a solid foundation in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, he quickly gained acclaim in his native Brazil and gained international fame in his professional career.
