Wimbledon Board disappointed by ATP decisions!

The organizers of the Wimbledon tournament released a statement against last ATP decision to punish the British Slam: "On behalf of the All England Club and the management committee we write in response to the decisions taken by the ATP Board for the 2022 edition of the tournament.

We regret the impact our decisions have had on tennis players, but given the position taken by the UK Government, we believe we have made the only viable decision for Wimbledon as a world-renowned event and we support the decision we have made." The organizers finally concluded: "We wish to express our disappointment at the ATP, Wta and ITF decisions to remove points for the classification and we believe that these decisions are disproportionate in the context of the exceptional and extreme circumstances of this situation.

We believe this decision is detrimental to everyone on the tour and we are evaluating our position."

What happened

The official decision of the ATP regarding the next edition of Wimbledon has caused a sensation. The men's tennis organization has announced that no points will be distributed in the next edition of the London Slam.

The ATP explained: "The possibility for tennis players of any nationality to participate in tournaments on the basis of merit and without any discrimination is the basis of our sport and of the entire circuit. Wimbledon's decision to ban Russian and Belarusian tennis players from competing in the UK undermines the integrity of the ATP ranking system and is absolutely inconsistent with current rankings.

Consequently and with great regret we are forced to remove the points from the ATP Ranking for the next edition of Wimbledon." A decision that penalizes the Grand Slam on grass and also for this reason the organizers' response was not long in coming.

These have taken the decision to exclude Russian and Belarusian tennis players, following in the wake of the choice of the English government. What happened The official decision of the ATP regarding the next edition of Wimbledon has caused a sensation.
