ATP Miami: Tsitsipas, Rublev and Nishikori in the 3rd round

On day 4 of the 2021 ATP Miami Open, Kei Nishikori, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Milos Raonic, Denis Shapovalov and Andrey Rublev reached the 3rd round in Florida: in the next challenge there will be a fashinating match between Nishikori and Tsitsipas.

Sebastian Korda defeated Fabio Fognini and also Aslan Karatsev, real outsider of this 2021 reached the third round. Marin Cilic will be Lorenzo Musetti's opponent in the match valid for the third round of the Miami Masters 1000.

The Croatian wins an authentic battle, conquering the tiebreak of the third and decisive set against the Chilean Garin. The Australian Alex De Minaur, on the other hand, comes out by surprise and wins the first set but collapses in the following two against the South American Galan Riveros.

No problem for Frenchmen Humbert and Mannarino as seeded Andrey Rublev and Diego Schwartzman advance in the tournament, winners without problems respectively over Sandgren and Uchiyama. In particular, the Russian tennis player, among the favorites in this part of the scoreboard, wins the match without history against Sandgren, annihilating him in just over an hour of play with the result of 6-1; 6-2.

The adventure in the Masters 1000 in Miami for the Italian tennis player Fabio Fognini stops at the first match.

The expert Ligurian tennis player struggles, goes on but in the end he is forced to give in against the young and talented American Sebastian Korda. In about an hour and fifty minutes of play the son of art wins with the result of 1-6; 6-4; 6-2.

The first set is one-way with Korda who does not really enter the game while Fognini gives winners and great numbers by closing the set in half an hour. The wind changes in the following sets with Korda improving in the first set and making fewer mistakes, has (wasted) chances in the first game but wins the break in the third set which she maintains without particular problems until the end of the set which ends 6-4.

In the decisive set the situation does not change, Korda goes on with a break in the third game and blocks Fognini's reaction by canceling 4 break points in the fourth game with the blue who actually turns off the light in this game and allows the American to close 6-2 with another important break.

In the next round an interesting fight for Korda who challenges the Russian tennis player, Aslan Karatsev, in great shape. The winner of Doha has no problems and beats the insidious Kazakh Kukushkin in two sets. The Miami Open 2021, ATP and WTA combined event, will be remembered for the absence of many stars, including the Big Three Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic among the men, and Serena Williams among the women.
