WTA Adelaide: Iga Swiatek won the title!

Great victory and second career title for the young Polish champion, winner of the last Roland Garros, Iga Swiatek who wins the WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide. She played great tennis throughout the tournament, showed once again her growth (and her immense growth margins) and beat her opponent's Swiss 6-2 with the result of 6-2, the seed number two of the Belinda Bencic tournament.

One-way race with Swiatek which, thanks to this result, will be number 15 in the world from Monday (her best ranking in her career). It starts with both tennis players who use the service in the first games, to the sound of Aces and first winners.

The first decisive game arrives at the sixth game with Bencic making several mistakes by closing a horrible game with a double fault and taking the Pole to 4 games to 2. The Pole solves the moments of difficulty with an excellent service and thanks to several winners against Bencic struggling to find points to create difficulties for the opponent.

Bencic always struggles to serve and above all on the second set she has not very exciting numbers, cancels the first set point thanks to an Ace, after a very hard-fought match the Swiss misses a simple volley and at the second set point with a great response Swiatek closes on 6 -2.

It doesn't change the story in the second set

We see a great gap between the two tennis players with the intolerant tennis player in clear difficulty. Swiatek has 3 more break points in the fourth game and with yet another double fault from the Swiss, Iga takes the lead 3 to 1.

One-way match with Swiatek who pulls applause and big shots and Belinda who can't do much to stop the very young and talented rival. Swiatek lets go of the forehand and has two match points to get yet another break on the opponent, at the second opportunity the Polish takes advantage of an opponent's mistake and wins in an hour and seven minutes of play with the result of 6-2 6-2.

This victory is her second but Swiatek continues to climb the ranking and she is certainly a candidate to be one of the main tennis players of the present and the near future. Swiatek lost only two points with the first and four with the second.

He has scored more winners and made fewer gratuitous mistakes. But great merits go to a fabulous Swiatek who won her second title on the major circuit after Rolans Garros and who will be number 15 in the world from next week: : the young tennis player will be one of the great protagonists of this season, and one of the greatest stars of the near future.
