The rivalry of the future is the one between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. At the Miami Open, in the semifinal of the second Atp 1000 tournament of the season, the two met for the sixth time, with a balance of three successes each.
The world goes crazy for the two tennis players and their challenges and everyone wants to see the two young stars face off on a tennis court. For this reason, even exhibition tournaments seek and aim to have the two top 10 players in their stadiums.
Among these there is also the Tennis Showdown, an exhibition tournament that takes place in Mexico in the final part of the season: according to Esto, a Mexican sports news program, it is certain that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will be the next guests of this event.
There is no official announcement yet, but it seems that everything is done for the presence of the two champions of the Next Gen ATP Finals. The two would succeed Cameron Norrie and Nick Kyrgios, who were the protagonists of the last edition.
A rivalry that is also based on great respect and great sportsmanship between the two tennis players. Sinner and Alcaraz often exchange words of praise for each other, as well as posts or social messages after each of their confrontations.
"Congratulations on your win, Jannik! I end this part of the season feeling great feelings about my tennis. It's time to go home. Thank you, Miami!" wrote the world number two on social media after the defeat at the Miami Open in the semifinal against the blue.
"It's always a pleasure to play and share the pitch with you," the world number nine replied on his Instagram stories. Rivalry that will however have to wait to be reviewed: Alcaraz forfeited the Monte-Carlo 1000 tournament, due to a problem with his hand and spine that he accused right in Miami.
Therefore, we will have to wait for the next appointment where both will be there, namely the ATP 500 in Barcelona: it will not only be the return together in a tournament, but it will also be the first time this season that the two will face each other on clay, after the two clashes occurred on concrete.
